Romantic music fuels Lumber and Law! Jena Wade blogs plus win a copy of her new release.
I’m excited to welcome back Jena Wade – with whom, it seems, I share a taste in sappy romantic music! I don’t listen to music while I write, but if I did, these songs would totally be on my playlist too
Jena is offering a copy of her new release Lumber and Law to a lucky commenter, so don’t forget to share your fave romantic songs with us! Over to Jena…
Musical Playlist: sappy romantic music fuels my writing.
The title says it all. I’m a sappy romantic, I love sappy romantic stories. Sometimes when I am writing I have to tone down the sap because I know not everyone cares for it.
I’m starting to wonder how many times I can use the term “sappy romantic” in this blog post…
Anyway, while I am at work (stupid day job) I often listen to Pandora. And for some crazy reason I like to listen Meatloaf all day long. Same songs over and over and over again. Bat out of Hell is the best album in the whole world. Which is odd favorite album for a twenty-six year old, but I do what I want.
One day I spent an inordinate amount of time tweeting about my favorite songs that are on my writing playlist …
Don’t Stop Me Now
I can’t help but think of Shaun of the Dead when I hear this song and it always makes me smile.
It’s not a sappy romantic song, but it kick starts my writing and gets the blood pumping!
Paradise By the Dashboard Lights, Meatloaf
This is not necessarily the most sappy song out there, but I love it. It is my own personal plot bunny. Someday I will make a story out of two men who promised to love each other forever in the back of their car… but then forever actually happens. …. Maybe I will start on that next.
Everything I do, Bryan Adams
Ahhh, we found the sappy romantic songs. Who doesn’t love this song? Especially if you’ve seen Robin Hood with Kevin Costner. The title really just says it all.
It’s All Coming Back to Me Now
Another sappy romantic song I can’t get enough of it.
Alright readers, I’m going to make you work for this giveaway – Post a comment with your favorite sappy song for a change to win a copy of Lumber & Law!
A few months after his brother’s accident, Jesse Brody can’t stop thinking about Troy Evans, the police office that helped solve the case. Even though Troy almost had to arrest him, Jesse is sure he has a shot at a date.
The two meet by chance and share a nice dinner at Jesse’s apartment, which ends with Jesse all over Troy’s lap. Though he isn’t out at work, Troy agrees to give a relationship with Jesse a chance. Everything is fine, until the two are seen in public together by some of Troy’s coworkers.
Out of panic, Troy ends the relationship. Of course he regrets his decision, but it will take more than just an apology to win Jesse back.
